My name is Mart Evans, and I've been a drummer for over 35 years. Originally from the UK, I now record MIDI drums exclusively from my home studio in Philadelphia for bands, solo artists, and producers worldwide. I am a song drummer, focusing on feel and simplicity and providing drum parts that allow the music to breathe. I've played on tracks featuring artists such as Phil Keaggy, Iain Hornal (10cc/ELO), Fiona Joy Hawkins and Mike Waldron, amongst many others.

I work exclusively with MIDI drums and know how to get the best out of them. I track live without programming to maintain the human element and give you the most realistic and organic MIDI drum parts for your music.

My roots are in Rock and Pop, but I've also played Soul, Prog Rock, Americana, Hard Rock, Singer-Songwriter, Synth/Dream Pop, and Country, amongst others. Don't hesitate to contact me first, and I'll tell you if I think I'm a fit for your project. I don't want to waste your time or money.

I use an upgraded Roland V-Drum kit to track live through Superior Drummer 3 but have other drum libraries available, such as DW Soundworks, EZDrummer 3, Steven Slate Drums, and Addictive Drums 2, which can all be used for audio.

If the track needs it, I can provide a simple percussion track, which I record live for basic instruments like shakers and tambourines or MIDI for more exotic instruments. This is delivered at no extra charge.

My rate includes three revisions and a three-day delivery as standard. One-day delivery is available, but message me first to see if I can accommodate the request.

To get started, I only need a mix of your track, the BPM and any reference tracks you think may be helpful. If you already have a drum part as a guide, you can include that as a separate track. I'll provide a first take to see where we are, and then we can go from there. When you're happy, I'll supply you with a MIDI file, and if you need audio, that can be delivered as either multitrack or a stem.
